Destination

You will find yourself in the beautiful Spanish lands, in the northernmost slopes of the Sierra Morena and the Sierra de Andujar Natural Park. These places are home to one of the highest densities of Iberian lynx in the Iberian Peninsula. This magnificent feline is one of the most threatened in the world, but thanks to joint efforts to preserve its habitat and manage the population of wild rabbits (which represent 90% of its diet), the Iberian lynx is returning to populate these territories. Until a few decades ago, there were only 94 individuals surviving, but today, thanks to conservation efforts, the population already exceeds 1,000 lynxes. Join us on this unique journey into the heart of the wild, where you will have the opportunity to capture with your camera the grace and beauty of these magnificent creatures. Get ready to take unforgettable photos, immerse yourself in the success story of conservation and experience a unique emotion in witnessing the rebirth of an endangered species. Discover the magic of the Iberian lynx with your own eyes as you explore reclaimed habitats and experience the incredible survival story of this fascinating feline. Join us on this extraordinary photographic adventure and help us preserve and protect this natural treasure for future generations.

The tour in detail

It will be six intense days, dedicated to exploring these lands, focusing on the precious waterholes. Our mission will be to spot one of the most elusive and endangered felines in the world, with total respect for the nature that surrounds us. Thanks to exclusive access to underground photographic hides, we will be able to observe and immortalize this incredible feline without disturbing its innate habits, with a perfect shooting point. Each hide overlooks a waterhole, where the Lynx and many other species go to quench their thirst during the scorching summer days. We may be lucky enough to witness the tender parental care of the lynx, which guides its cubs right in front of our eyes, creating moments of great emotion. But the Lynx will not be the only protagonist of this extraordinary adventure. We will have the opportunity to admire a variety of bird species, such as the green woodpecker, the great spotted woodpecker, the red partridge, the pheasant, the little owl and different species of tits, the long-tailed tit, the turtle dove, the hoopoe and many more. And let's not forget the small mammals that populate these lands, such as the wild rabbit, which will animate the landscape with their grace. The aim of this tour is to live a unique experience, in perfect harmony with nature and without disturbing in the slightest the delicate balance of the animals and the surrounding environment. The Iberian lynx will be the fulcrum of this extraordinary adventure, a fascinating species for its history and the ecology that surrounds it.
Eight photographic activities that will take place inside our exclusive huts, specially designed and built to meet the needs of every nature photographer. Every detail has been carefully considered to ensure a perfect setting, natural settings and impeccable lighting. The huts have been designed down to the smallest detail to offer you an extraordinary experience. Thanks to the 4 mm thick anti-reflective glass (one millimetre less than common solutions), you will be able to observe the animals from sometimes negligible distances, maintaining a perfect reproduction of details and colours. This glass allows you to capture breathtaking images without the animals perceiving your presence. A great advantage of these huts is the freedom of movement they offer you. You can move freely inside the hut, following the animals with your lens without being noticed in the slightest, even by incredibly elusive creatures such as eagles or other birds of prey. This will allow you to take unique photographs and get closer to the animals than ever before. Each hut has a capacity of 2-3 places, allowing us to divide the group and occupy the preferred locations. Daily planning will be done according to your preferences, ensuring that each participant has the opportunity to make the most of the huts.

On this tour, all photographic activities will take place inside our huts, giving you the opportunity to observe the animals from extremely close distances, sometimes as close as 4 to 5 meters. To best capture the details and essence of these fascinating animals, we recommend using reflex, mirrorless or bridge cameras, equipped with lenses between 200mm and 500mm. This range of focal lengths will allow you to obtain sharp images with correct proportions! Inside the huts, the use of a tripod will be essential. The tripod will help you keep the image stable, allowing longer shutter speeds without the risk of problems. In addition, you will be able to compose your photos with precision and make detailed adjustments. Through the conscious use of the tripod and the recommended photographic equipment, you will be able to capture extraordinary images and create indelible memories of this adventure in nature. During these days, you will have an expert professional photographer at your disposal who will assist you in optimizing the use of your photographic equipment. Our photographer will be there to offer personalized advice and help you get the most out of your camera and lenses. You will have the opportunity to learn advanced techniques in composition, light control, camera settings and more.
