Destination

Two days in the Sibillini Mountains National Park await you for a unique experience to discover the local fauna, with a focus on the Apennine chamois, made protagonist of the Life 2002 project. During the mating season, these chamois are particularly active, offering unforgettable shows . The park, between Umbria and Marche, is a jewel of biodiversity, with fauna that has recolonized areas after the earthquakes, moving freely even near urban areas. The Sibillini Mountains National Park, between Umbria and Marche, covers 71,437 hectares of mountainous terrain with rocky sections. It is home to a rich avifauna of over 150 species of birds, including the golden eagle, and a variety of mammals such as deer, roe deer, wild boars, foxes, chamois, wolves and the wild cat. After the earthquakes, many abandoned rural areas were regenerated by nature, creating breathtaking landscapes. Events like ours aim to support the rebirth of local communities that keep the connection with this extraordinary land alive.

You will spend two days side by side with two professional photographers with expert knowledge of the park and wildlife who will lead the workshop ensuring a complete experience. The photography sessions will take place in the morning and at sunset, mainly with traveling photography activities. We will explore the most iconic places of the Park, immersing ourselves in an experience in harmony with nature. The intense days will keep us in the field from dawn to dusk, with practical sessions on basic and advanced shooting techniques to obtain creative and unique images. Obviously, as in every workshop, we will dedicate the central hours of the second day to carry out a complete post-production lesson, to optimize each shot from noise reduction, contrast management, colors and export for print and the web. In addition to capturing beautiful photographs and having an unforgettable experience, the focus of this workshop is to showcase the field approach of experienced professional photographers, revealing the secrets of stalking and wildlife photography.
